It does indeed fit the 3g. I have a 3g and it fits great. The little plug fits tight. I've had my case for several months now and the plug still fits great. Just as snug and secure as when I first installed it.
Buy one, you won't regret it.

I don't want a refund. I just think they should either offer more for educators or don't offer this type of package. As a macworld noob, I felt tricked. Eliminate the "special sessions" and let educators see the regular sessions and figure out how to apply the technology ourselves. I mean, I wasn't even able to see the microsoft office 2008 presentation.
That's horrible, as someone possibly going into the education field i feel for you and really think you should file a complaint.

Hi
I am search for a non-cloud alternative to befunky.com Cartoonizer. I wish to generate a cartoons/comics from an image and/or movie.
What software do you recommend me? Great would be Open Source or free.

If I read Apple's Sales and Refunds (http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html) policy, the only words that sound remotely close to this are those that discuss the ten business day window for returns due to "[dissatisfaction] with your Apple purchase of a pre-built product".
Can anyone comment on this?
anyone who says you have thirty days after a purchase to exchange it for an upgrade is lying to you. These are things you need to know
1. If u buy a product , the ten day thing is true but you may face restocking fees or you may just get some money back because of the update... I have seen very few threads about people trading opened products for brand new models
2. Don't expect for this to be easy, your gonna have to play hardball to get anything from apple when you've already bought a product.
3. Some users have suggested that sites like amazon.com have a 30-day return policy but i'm not sure what fees are associated with this.
I've posted this before and i'll post it again. The bottom line is that you cannot count on the return policy as a safety net...theres not really a way to completely protec t yourself

TimeMachine is great, but I don't rely on it as my only backup either. I have one 1 TB drive partitioned into two partitions: one is slightly larger than my internal drive, and the other partition is the rest of the TB. I use CCC to clone my internal drive to the 1st partition nightly and TimeMachine backs up to the other partition. This way, if my internal HDD dies, I can boot right off the external and keep going. I use DropBox to back up all my super necessary files as well (I'm up to 5.8 GB without paying).
And, no, I don't consider my two partitions separate backups because they're on the same physical drive. But, still, it seems an effective solution to me. Even if a fire burns down my residence I still have all my important (small) files on DropBox.

You mean which pubs they went to to do the poll? Or how many women actually took the poll? :D Or how much they had to drink at the pubs looking for women while taking the poll :p

The combination of black and blue (image 3) is really good. But I think you can change font style for mobile & email. This one is little hard to read and looks a bit casual too.
But I really dont like that last one (green). Looks very gaudy!

I had a perfectly great working powerbook g4. I was trying to get it ready to send off to a new owner. I went into single user mode, and typed in this
/sbin/fsck -y [Enter]
/sbin/mount -uaw [Enter]
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone [Enter]
reboot [Enter]
My computer came back with error messages saying Volume Check Failed. It will not boot now when turned on. It just comes to apple screen with twirling icon, and then shuts down. I don't know how to reverse what I did. It was working perfectly. I do not have os disks, as I bought it resale also. I have had it for 6months with no issues. I am freaking out!!! I can't do a safe mode boot. I did get it to boot up as if it was brand new. Put in all info, thought it was fixed, then when it said to restart so that the changes could take place, it went back to not booting up. Spent 6 hours looking and trying everything. Any help???

Shoot ... it's not looking good, huh. :(
Thanks for the tips, everyone. I'm going to look into the DataRescue program mentioned.
I didn't realize what a HUGE mistake I was making. I guess I was assuming that, like Windows, it'll just replace files with the same name and NOT delete any other files in there. It's kind of depressing, because that was 2 weeks worth of written and audio notes for a class of mine. :( I also hope this gets fixed in Tiger ... you should know what's going to happen with the "replace folder" function.

Yeah the value changes. Fortune is a Linux command line application that gives a fortune every time it's run. I want to post this output to twitter and as you may know twitter only takes 140 characters.
I don't think you're walking through your code. You should sit down with a paper and pencil and walk through it while pretending to be the computer.
I do not mean "Imagine walking through it". I mean actually walk through it one line at a time, and actually write out what happens at each command line step. Then answer this question: Within the loop, when and where does the value of FORTUNE or COUNT change? If you can't find that place, then the problem and solution should be obvious.
In olden days this was called "bench-checking your work".

I've been coming to this forum as a registerd user since 2004. Today, I found myself looking at this thread:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=12260325
Seems like a nice review of a nice product by Targus. And a nice link to the Amazon product page for said product.
But there's a problem.
The link to Amazon is an obvious affiliate link - which isn't a problem in and of itself, but it made me curious.
Here is the affiliate link from that thread. The 'tag=macrumors-20' part is the part that tells Amazon that if the click results in a sale, Amazon will pay a percentage of money to the affiliate with the id of 'macrumors-20'.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&camp=1789&tag=macrumors-20&creative=9325&path=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB004N62HZI
I have no problem with affiliate marketing. The problem I wish to point out is that this forum has rules. And the thread I'm talking about breaks those rules. If the original poster would have said, "this is an affiliate link ... if you buy, I get paid, etc." I probably would have moved along.
From the rules page:
http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:Forum_Rules
"Advertising. Using the forums for advertising, site or product promotion, or for business deals and offers. You may not make posts to promote commercial, personal, or not-for-profit websites, products, or services. Threads will be deleted if their purpose is to advertise, announce, or promote products, services, or organizations, build traffic at other websites, carry out business activities, or other similar purposes that do not benefit our forum community."
Now really, I don't have a big problem with any of this. Whatever. So someone wants to make a buck. Ok. So do I.
But here's what's really puzzling. I left a comment on the thread a few hours ago. I simply wrote, "Nice affiliate link."
I even hit the 'Report Post' button on the orginal post. Only because I read the rules & saw a violation. Sorry, for being a rat. I thought Arn would like to know what's going on on his forum. That someone might be breaking his rules -- trying to make money by piggybacking on the gobs of traffic this website gets.
Some time ago, my "Nice affiliate link." comment has been deleted. The thread is still active.
In summary, here are the facts:
1. A thread was started as an obvious affiliate sales pitch disguised as a review.
2. The Amazon affiliate ID of profit-seeker is 'macrumors-20'. (By the way, all Amazon affiliate IDs end in '-20'.
3. The thread was reported for moderation.
4. My public comment, calling attention to the affiliate link, was deleted & the thread remains active.
Draw your own conclusions.
Arn? Are you there?

Hi,
I would like to tell you try the app which provides you a new unit converting experience.
Convert Sense provide a new unit converting experience, common units belongs to different unit system are listed (mixed category) together, user just need tap unit, input and done.
The second view is featured with searching and indexing to setup convert. All available target units are listed after you tap on the source unit. This not only provides the result but related unit knowledge.
The third view will learn user habit; the list uses a unique way to rank the converting history.
