Do a simple layout. What is the rooms dimensions, the furniture? By what I see you can not fit anything else in the room so what you need is color. Get a nice little area rug that you like and use it as a base for setting the color for the rest of the room.

I always liked the name Showtime. It was suggested when Apple announced movies on iTunes.

Hey, hope someone can help.
My macbook took a fall the other day and I got the White screen of death, I plugged it into my external monitor and it worked fine. Tried resetting the PRAM and now the external monitor won't pick it up.
Took it to a mac store and they quoted me the price of a new macbook (mines 4 years old) to fix it, saying the hard drive and screen need replacing.
Is there anyway I can test this? or at least try and get the external monitor working again? Can't afford the repairs or a new macbook :(
Thanks

Can a home directory exist on a firewire device?
Is the firewire device automounted at boot? Or only mounted once a user logs in? Something to think about..
Anyway, here's some more ways to move your /Users to another partition:

Well...I'm thinking about building an 800mhz mini-itx box, don't want to run windows, and I want to run Seti@home. What linux distro would be best for this?

Hey all,
I'm a beginning web designer, I know XHTML/CSS and also learning HTML5/CSS3. I want to start learning to create dynamic websites and need to learn some new languages, and I'm wondering which ones I should start with... the things on my list are JavaScript, jQuery, and maybe PHP.
Is this a good place to start? Some good book resources would be awesome as well!
Those three will give you a great base to work from.
php is a server-side scripting language, which allows you to do "heavy lifting", connect to databases, etc.
javascript is a client-side scripting language, which allows you to programatically interact with the rendered page
jQuery is a javascript library which bundles a lot of functions up into a cross-browser, easy-to-use package.
I'd also add Smarty, which is a php templating system, which allows you to get a nice clean separation between your display logic and your business logic.
PHP and JQuery both have fairly in-depth documentation on their sites, and w3schools has a decent javascript tutorial.

You always get the exact same as you purchases. If they don't have any white iPhone 4 refurbished in stock then they will give you a new white iPhone 4, if they issue is they must replace the iPhone.

Can we add that to the profanity filter? Along with Powerbook G5 , headless iMac, and OS X for Intel?

Come on ... Apple got shunned for not allowing the iPhone 3G to get multitasking. If they hadn't updated it all, they would have been criticized to pieces.
So you think Apple should allow iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G, even though it cripples it beyond use? Waiting 10+ secs for an SMS to load etc etc. I downgraded my iPhone 3G back to 3.1.3 before giving it away.

I've been running 32GB of RAM in my Mac Pro for a few weeks now and never had a problem with it. It's a fantastic deal :D
Is there something similar to memtest86 that will thoroughly test the RAM inside the Mac ??

I don't want the sliding content to take over the screen so I won't be using the modal view.

Applecare really comes in handy if you have problems. I had an early '08 macbook pro with the faulty nvidia card. The entire thing must have been replaced before I sold it: two bad screens, multiple fans replaced, logic board replaced, hard drive replaced, and probably more, I'm just forgetting.

Ah, it may be a 20% increase in clock speed, but there are a number of factors that will make a difference.
First: remember that not everyone is going to be upgrading from the current top-end model to the next one (and in fact, that would be a pretty silly thing to do unless you could sell your Powerbook at near the original price). If you've got anything less than one of the current models, you're going to probably see a considerably larger boost - and not just due to clock speed, but cache, video hardware, system bus speeds and memory speeds.
Besides, we don't know exactly what the upgrade will entail. If it has more L2 or L3 cache or faster video (or even just more video memory), it may feel more than just a bit faster, especially in certain applications.

This sucks I work at Costco and I know for a fact that because Apple gave a exclusive deal to SAMs Costco got mad and when supplies of ALL Apple products run out at Costco there will be NO more! No iPods or iTunes gift cards of any kind. This is Costco's way of playing hard ball with Apple. Each Costco building sold about $200k of Apple products per month!!! That WILL affect Apple! After all Apple should know that Costco will offer FAR better service for iPad sales than Sams! Eventually Apple WILL come around and Costco will begin to sell Apple products again
Right because people will not just go to one of the 100 other places sell Apple hardware. It will not effect them, only Costco...

That iBook does not have gigabit ethernet. No iBook has gigabit ethernet. 100mbit is not very fast. We're talking realistically 8-10MB/s, maximum on a 100mbit is 12.5 which you'll never hit.All depends really.
I run most of my stuff at 100Mbit/s, including the Mac mini I use for media. I have no problem with it and it's plenty fast enough. On the gbit linked machines I only notice the difference when moving large amounts of data (e.g. virtual machine images), but that's rare enough that it's just a nice to have.

How do they verify that you are a u-verse customer? If you just need login credentials, anyone want to share their U-verse logon credentials? :p
Good luck with that.
Well the app is very improved over the old one. Stinks that the downloads are limited to u300. That is one of the higher packages I wish they let the u200 group use it.
Exactly the point...they want to to spend $$$ to be able to get the cooler features.

The only update you would see this year is if Intel gets Ivy Bridge out and Apple decides to implement it this year... which just means processor spec bumps, nothing really major considering you are unlikely to be fully utilizing the current processors.
At some point you are going to have to buy it... if you wait until later this year they could upgrade it again 6 months later in the spring. Basically what others have said, if you need it now, buy it now.
I can understand why a lot of people would wait if a refresh is coming within the next month or two, but the lineup was just refreshed 2 months ago... waiting now is pretty pointless.
