Yes you can control the form look and feel by using CSS, which works in most browsers. This hack is to change the look and feel for all those sites that don't use CSS to make the form fields look better, also CSS can not change the look and feel of radio and checkboxes, they pretty much can only change text boxes or controls that contains text box components (eg drop down lists).

I took the post a totally different way. I didn't think the OP was commenting on the persons clothes. Just the fact that he looked "worn down" but he still had an iPhone 4.

Yes but my point is just because some ones appearance is the way it is doesnt mean the person is what you perceive them to be. Taking a picture of something because they have cheap looking clothes but yet have an iPhone 4 seems a bit... lame to me.

And my example of Jobs is, that guy is worth millions he has money yet he wears the same thing all the time... if hes so rich why does he wear the same clothes surely he can afford more? or... maybe hes just likes what he wears and feels comfortable in it. Maybe that old man in the picture above is the same.... maybe he just feels comfortable in what he has. He may not be poor.. just because you believe his appearance is cheap

Have you looked at PinPoint (http://www.macchampion.com/pinpoint_download.shtml) It's shareware ($10) and the default installation puts a red circle around your mouse if you leave it idle for a period of time or if you hit a hotkey. You get to set the time period and / or the hotkey.

If you're bored, you can draw your own "finding" graphic.

I just listen to CBC Radio 3 and pretend that I'm Canadian ;)

CBC Radio 3 (http://radio3.cbc.ca/) is awesome. I listen to Grant Lawrence's podcast and the R3-30 podcast every week. The Sessions podcast is amazing too.

I've found so many amazing bands because of CBC Radio 3.....

eBay is your best bet, there's still a market for the legacy software. For giggles, what do you have?

    Rewind
    Quicken 2001
    Grolier 98
    HotFax Message center
    SoundMaker
    Tech Tools Pro
    etc..

    I can't complain, I'm just curious.
I bought the Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach (the deluxe version) for just 1.49

I think the original price is 10.99? Is anyone else noticing this, or is it just me?

Is it normal for a DSLR to take 1 min 30 sec to connect to a computer? I plug it in and I timed it. Takes ~90 sec to show up on iPhoto. Any other old point-and-shoot camera shows up right away.

Should I be using another program to manage photos? I don't plan to use RAW images with Aperture or anything, just casual picture-taking and jpegs.

New to the DSLR world, would appreciate any info, thanks.

    thanks a lot.

My own take on Sackboy, hes not the same as the regular one, because well, i kinda got bored after a while.

Anywho, Sackboy & Son took me about 3 hours in C4D. Probably about 75% finished.

That would be awesome! I love Leo and the TWiT podcasts.

You and me both. He has some really good shows going right now!

Well Leo and Josh are obviously fans of Apple so it would make sense.

I wouldn't say Leo is a die hard Apple fan. He likes their stuff but he also keeps it in perspective and does give it to Apple when he thinks they deserve it.

A Windows virus (if you mean that with "PC virus") can't harm Mac OS X, regardless how you obtained it. Why not install an AV software on your Windows VM to protect Windows?

    Thank you sir!

HDMI is pure digital so there is no signal lose. On my PS3 there is a definite upgrade in picture quality when you move from component to HDMI. Is that upgrade in picture quality worth buying a brand new (and rather expensive) console? I really don't think so.

Calvin, I can get one for you today (I'm also in the 818), but they are probably going to show up in stores tomorrow and they will have plenty on hand. :)

    Good deal on the iPhone!

I agree an alarm/timer app would be nice. They should be able to do that with just an OS update.
That's the only thing it needs.

No alarm function because there is no speaker. As for the timer, try swiping left/right in the clock app ;)

My wife runs all the time with hers. She uses the Nike+ system along with some very pricey Sony bluetooth headphones with a remote builtin. I almost bought her a Nano because I know it most of the features she wants. However, the bluetooth headphones wouldn't work.

Any tips or should I just wait for the Sonys to day and see about a Nano then?

You can always get a Bluetooth headphone jack transmitter and pair that with a set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds/headphones. This addition goes for CHEAP on websites like eBay, Amazon, Google Shopping, etc., and it's an excellent alternative if you have a non-Bluetooth iPod

The only things I ever do that use Silverlight are Netflix on my computer, and Bungie's website and their Halo stats, game, and film clip viewer. But, I can already do both of those things on the 360, so I can't say that I'm really in dire need of Silverlight.

Since you want the computer to be a media hub for your family, and you already have 100GB of media, I would go for the larger hard drive. Your media needs are only going to increase - especially with pictures and video from your T1i.

On the Office/iWorks issue I have to agree that if you are going to be exchanging files with office users (i.e. from work, family, etc), then just get office.

It will help for the kids also, when they are working on files for school. My kids were always working on Word Documents, Powerpoint Documents, etc. After spending alot of time on the documents at home, they need to know they work at school on the Windows machines...

On the subject of Applecare, this will provide you with two additional years of warranty coverage - after your warranty ends. You have to purchase it before the warranty ends, but it doesn't matter if you buy it on day 1 or day 365 - you get the same amount of coverage either way.

Remember Applecare doesn't cover accidental damage. Only warranty type issues, such as a dead motherboard, bad LCD, etc. Sometimes I think you do get preferential treatment at the Apple store though if you have purchased Applecare.

I have had very good luck with my Apple machines, so I don't tend to purchase it. That said, I have a pair of iMac G5's (2006 vintage) that could probably been repaired out of warranty with Applecare.

I would tend to agree on waiting to purchase it if you have any doubts. Give yourself 10 months or so to live with the machine, and see how it is working for you. Read the forums here and see how others with the same models are doing. If you are comfortable with it then you don't have to purchase it. If you have any concerns, then feel free to purchase it for some additional piece of mind.

One last thing - make sure you purchase an external hard drive if you don't already have one. Set it up with Time Machine (included with your Mac) or the backup program of your choice, and make sure all of that media is backed up. If you can, get two drives, and keep one of them at work, or somewhere else offsite, just incase something happens at your home.

Good luck with your new Mac!
