Anti glare is not matt. The old imacs with matt screens were impossible to calibrate and had terrible issues with 'white-out'. The glass screens are a massive improvement and anyone with half a brain cell can sort their set up so that glare is a non issue.

I am surrounded by windows, wonderful views, and don't want to close all my blinds and and be in the dark so that I can use my awesome reflective computer monitor. I appreciate that the glass may be wonderful for some, but understand that it is awful for others. The option for a matte screen is logical. What's with all the developers that won't do Universal Apps?
If you're supporting both platforms anyway, it's actually far less code, and less testing to just do a Universal App. (I know, I've done two of them so far.)
So I can charge more money for 2 platforms! Thats why (I think) the SlingPlayer app will not be universal. If you want to get the iPhone and iPad app it will be $60 instead of $30

You aren't the only person Apple sells computers to either. To a lot of people being able to at least play some games on the go is a selling point that must be met for a travel device.]
I am exactly one of those people. I wanted a light laptop that I could game on occasionally while on travel. There is ZERO chance I would have bought an apple if it wasn't for the Air's portability and gaming potential. Hopefully I'll get many years use out of my 13" Ultimate.. but if Apple cripples the Air from a GPU perspective, I'll go back to Windows in a heartbeat on my next laptop purchase.
Don't get me wrong, I love my air and am enjoying OSX.. but not enough to sacrifice my ability to game on it.

Having worked very closely with the head engineers of AT&T, I do feel sorry for them. As someone stated earlier, that are spending billions to upgrade the network, but all that money will only meet current demand in some areas. The iPhone is such an incredible success that AT&T never had a chance. The same would be said about Verizon had they got the exclusive contract. If you want to lay the blame at anyones feet, it should be Apple. They should have made a CDMA version and split the load between the networks.
actually, you are 100% wrong, if you read your history, you would know that apple did everything in there power to get it on as many carriers as possible for this exact reason. and the only company that would take the phone and give 100% control of the operating system was AT&T, and that was under the circumstances of a exclusive contract. And apple did the correct thing, because can you imagine what a iPhone would be if it was tightly controlled by the carrier? i can. its called a LG dare. and every other ****** touch screen phone out there.
Apple had the correct idea, split the load onto as many carriers as possible. but that couldn't happen, because the carriers are bitched greedy bastards, all of them, AT&T being the least bad of all of them, letting apple have control in the first place.
And as for making a CDMA version, thats pure stupid. because thats a dead technology that very few companies use, and only in one country. everywhere else, they use HSDPA, example europe, where the iPhone is available on many carriers, all using HSDPA standard, and there having 0 problems.

Bah, these things are rubbish. The scroll wheel clogs up with dirt, just as scroll ball mice did in days gone by - except there is no user access to clean it thoroughly. Apple need to re-think the design on this one before updating it.

No, that is not Adware. Adware is a program that is installed *on your computer*, so it can launch windows whenever it wants. In the case of Web pages that pop up when you are viewing a video, that's just because it's a "feature" of the particular video technology (e.g. in Real Media or Windows Media streams you can embed code to open a browser window). It's no more Adware than when you go to CNN.com and it launches a pop-up ad.

Finally, a quad core desktop class machine (in processors only I suppose) with ample I/O and a decent . . . . for Apple . . . . price.
Shocked that Apple would give us TWO TBolt ports on the 27" with quad core across the line.
The $1700 has my cheap side tingling but my professional side is telling me to wait for a Mac Pro update so I can at least consider a machine I can expand myself.
On the plus side, that 21.5" is not a bad machine for the price.

Now I undertand that building this sort of infrastructure costs money and thus it is logical to assume that they would want to recoup some if not all of that investment. However, why would I want to stream music to my phone when I already have music on my phone?
I could see this work if there was a cheaper iPhone with less memory. It would allow Apple to build its market share amongst people who kust want a phone while allowing them to opt in at anytime if they want to add multimedia files.
Otherwise I just dont see the value. Now if this were some kind of hardrive that allowed access to all kinds of files in real time ala dropbox than we might have something. For that $20 would be a bargain assuming the amount of storage was reasonable.

At this point, waiting another 3 - 5 months for an iPhone 5 would be more prudent than being locked into something so soon before a new device comes out.BL.
What makes you think the iphone 5 will be released in 3-5 months. rumors suggest it could be realeased in Q1 which could mean late OCT or early Nov time frame

I don't quite understand this... as people use their iPhones on T-Mobile jailbroken all the time. How could AT&T iPhones work on T-Mobile now if they need different hardware???
I guess the basic frequency is the same for EDGE and calls and what not. However, T-Mobile's 3G won't work with current iPhone's, so I guess this hardware update would change that.
