Too bad to hear about the brea store. Before I left to go to best buy i told the end of the line that there was no one in line at the Fullerton best buy.
No one believed me apparently because only a couple came. Showed up at 12:30, was 4th in line and walked out with a 16 GB white by 5:15. Everyone else who came from the mall got theirs as well

i ordered a custom build macbook and apple bluetooth mouse last friday. should i cancel the order for the mouse and wait? or because of all the mighty mouse problems should i be happy with a completely sleek standard apple bluetooth mouse?

Oh. I thought it would be how fast the dock unhides when you hover over it.
im pretty sure this allows you to control how often applications spring up and down in the dock when something happens in them-- kinda like when you get an incoming chat while you are using another app...
alot of people get annoyed by that feature and i am one of them

Problem is the App Store. I don't think Apple thought about this in regards to the Mac App store having larger programs. Sure the iOS App store is easy....most apps are small.

I see some sort of conversion of these rumors, and a clear indication that the big screen virtual interface thing might be feasible, but really... all the rumors are getting a bit much, next thing the ipod will be a all purpose video edeting aplience called the... macbook! :p

Nothing as serious as a $1k purchase, but my (almost) two year old purchased an album from iTunes, by accident, on my iPad last week. I used the "report a concern" link that was on my receipt to report the problem. I got an email from an Apple rep the next day saying that they would give me a refund, but it would be a "one time exception."

Very weird situation, but I guess something went buggy briefly when I submitted my purchases - and I'm only posting this in case someone accidentally purchases stuff in the future, it seems that doing that is more likely to result in Apple issuing you your refund.

Well go and tell that to Dell and their massive market share and we'll see if they take you seriously and change their marketing strategy.
Dell is already changing their market strategy. The whole idea behind their XPS line is that they want to get out of the "Walmart Mentality" approach to marketing. They find it hard on the margins. And wouldn't that more accurately be described as Dells "massive, shrinking, market share"?

I have to wonder how many people discussing audio quality buy their movies from iTunes vs Blu-Ray.
Just asking since apparently those people are so concerned with getting optimal performance from their media.
Not to take this off topic - but too many people have been duped by all the streaming serves and cable companies to believe they're getting a true HD experience when, in fact, they aren't because of the astronomical bitrate difference between what can be streamed vs delivered by hard media at current.

Sorry, not likely to happen given the razor-thin profit margins for televisions nowadays, especially when you have Samsung, Sony, VIZIO, Panasonic, LG and a couple of other brands fighting it out already in the large-screen flat-panel market.
Now, a larger, more-sophisticated Apple TV box connected to your TV via the HDMI port, that's quite something else....

Making the entire computer experience simple, easy and fun is what Apple has always been about, and this is a natural continuation of those ideals. In fact, I hope they expand this functionality to include upgrading ram and hard disks (as long as they don't go overboard with the prices like in the b.t.o. options at the apple store).
Really this is a wonderful new breakthrough in Apple's quest for computing easiness.
While their at it, the same feature could not only order the ram or hard drive for you, but using the the new iCal server features could have at look at the nearest Apple Store and give you list of free booking times to drop in and have the upgrade done for you.

Basically any modern media device can play MP4 which is what Apple uses on it's store. For example I can put music purchased from iTunes on my Android phone with no coversion at all.Can you name a few more? I have only seen Sony support AAC on their PMP devices.
