And, by an amazing coincidence, QEMU just happens to include a FreeDOS image...
The iEmulator site admits it's built on top of qemu. What's the big deal here, hm?
From the FAQ:
Is iEmulator based on the BOCHS emulator?
No! BOCHS is a fantastic, flexible effort, but we found it to be too slow to be "day-to-day usable" on the majority of hardware we tested with. In all of the tests we've tried, our solution, based on the powerful QEMU codebase, runs significantly quicker! Please note that QEMU is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard.

There are two required methods in the IKImageBrowserDataSource, so a plain NSArray or NSMutableArray isn't sufficient, either. There needs to be an adapter class of some kind.
Well, theoretically, no. You could write datasource methods as a Category to NSMutableArray, so subclassing is not absolutely necessary. Kind of a crazy notion, but it could be kind of handy if it works (every array you use would have datasource potential). Still, some amount of coding would be required.

I have a 2 GHz PowerPC G5 running OS X 10.5.8. I want to record my electric guitar with Garage Band '08. When I go to System Preferences and go to the Sound preferences to select the audio input, only "Internal microphone" is available as an option. There's an audio input jack on the back of the computer, so why is "Line in" not available for me to select?
Everything I'm looking up online says that all I need to do is select "Line in" in the Sound preferences, but it isn't available to me. How do I add "Line in" as an option?

I usually end up checking out those kinds of books at the library anyways.
Thanks for the reminder that it is April 1st. I'll make sure to print out a fake eviction notice for my wife. ;)

Nope. If you have legitimate access to the "Developer Preview" then you have access to the Developer forum. There's no other options.

Dear Macrumors,
After a failed attempt at reinstalling windows 7 on my friends computer (Dell Optiplex 760), we decided to load Ubuntu on it. Hes loving Ubuntu and all, but theres one issue, no sound. Now his computer had problems with sound back when it was still on XP, so its not a ubuntu thing. Knowing that, we decided to go to the computer market, and we got this USB-Sound Port thing, and it works on my laptop. We had to get my Win7 Laptop to play off the USB, and not the laptops own speakers.
So i was wondering, since its not working in Ubuntu but it worked on my laptop once i made my laptop recognize it, i was wondering if that would be the solution to my friends sound problems, and if im right, how could i go about doing this?
Just a recall, my friend bought a USB to Sound port, it works, its just not working on his computer, how can i solve this?
We are both pretty much noobs, so an idiot-proof version, if you can come up with any solution at all, would be GREATLY appreciated.
Again, thank you in advance,
cheers,
AJ--

Can you say more? What is task eater? How can it help?
thanks
http://www.tobiaswiedenmann.com/taskeater/index.html ability to set reminders recurring and once, there's an update coming to bring lists which i think you wanted, and there is self assignable categories so your tasks are organised by what they entail like home, work, business stuff.. and most of all it just looks great! :)
and so simple, which some love, others don't.. ive tried various difference todo apps and setups from Things, Wunderlist, Dropkick which is relatively unknown but so simple and has cloud sync and a mac client too
its all about what you like and what you'll work best with :)
thanks

Hello all,
I would like to find a good app that will allow me to create entity relationship diagrams. This would be what I would use it for now, but I would use it for any other situation where I might need to do diagrams for work in future. Export to PDF is a necessity, direct print from the app would be a plus but is not required.
I know there are lots of apps out there, so I was hoping some of you have tried a few and had suggestions. Omni group has some very attractive looking apps, and I have owned and enjoyed their desktop software in the past. Just want to see if there are less costly alternatives out there. I'll bite the bullet, price-wise, if needed, but want to tap into the experiences of you folks first.

if the sale starts at 5pm then its weird and different than usual. If bestbuy launches on 11th as well i might be there earlier rather than apple store rush hour.

so i thought before i started the thread id set the record straight :P
i do download music, not often, but i do do it. regularly im a vinyl guy, i have 1200+ vinyl records, and more CDs than i can think of... i buy music regularly, and only ever download a track if i find something i like, that isnt released yet and want it on my ipod, or for the reasons which i am about to describe
also please note this is sort of a long rant, feel free to browse away from the topic now :D
here goes -
recently i was trying to buy this new EP from a DJ i like... (if your interested, it was the DJ Zinc crack house EP, but any way...) so i thought to my self, ok... lets go to beatport and try to buy it, because as some of you may know, there is a postal strike in the UK, and a lot of things just arent being delivered. . so i go to the website, make my self an account, log in, buy the track, put my card details in, and press buy. but nothing happend :/ its a flash website, and literally there was this loading sign, and then it just went back to the home page. to make matters worse, beatport charged my card, but didnt actually give me the music links. ive emailed them, but still no answer.
so that was try number 1
i then went on to juno.co.uk which is probably one of the biggest music retailers online that i use regularly. however i dont normally buy digital music from them, its normally physical purchases, but as i said, there is a strike, and it could take weeks to arrive. so i go to the digital section of their website. i log in, my card details are already there, i press buy. boom - i get a 404 error. i tried to make the purchase another 6 times. even restared my browser. nothing! luckily, they didnt charge my card.
i think we can call that try number 2!
hopped over to play.com and amazon - they didnt even have it :/
try number 3 and 4 :)
i think you get the point, especially considering that the "tries" go up to 13 :D
so my question is to you guys -
do you think its now morally ok for me to go and download the whole thing on an illegal music website?
let me know what you think :)

Hey
Yes it is. I've got the latest airport extreme with dual channels. The iPhone gets the 2.4ghz and the iPad gets the 5ghz
Edit: problem solved! Changed the broadcast channel to 11 and flipped the 802.11 to n(5ghz)/n/b/g(2.4ghz) and things seem hunky dory

I'm erasing a disk with Disk Utility using the "write zeros" option. It's supposed to label any bad sectors unusable, but when it's done, will it also tell me if there were any bad sectors?
