Kernal Panic = hardware failure
9 times out of 10 it's RAM that causes this. Take out your memory one stick at a time and see if you get the same panic. If the KP's stop then you will know the stick you have out of it is to blame.

Has anyone used Amarra for audio playback? I cannot really find any new reviews. Just stuff from the early version 1 where it seemed to be good but lacking some stuff.
Thoughts?
I'm looking at finding something to stream my music to my HT bit perfect and not up sampled or down sampled first through the Audio Midi settings.
My other option is hardware based with something like the Olive O6HD music streamer.

I think the underlying things - gcc and so forth are the same for both versions, so they are interdependant on the same libraries.
So you risk losing those libraries if you do a complete uninstall, so the safest unless someone knows more than me would be to just delete the folder and call it a day :)

What happened, OP?
The OP has a simple question, :o but was a little unclear in their description, so we ask or clarification. :( Next thing you know we're arguing over the terms, ranting about our pet peeves, over-describing the problem, re-defining definitions we all understand, and... no response from poor OP.
We probably scared him away.
Come back little feller! ;)
dmz
I couldn't agree more dmz. The guy just wanted some simple advice and as usual out come the soap boxes!!
The way I read it, the OP was doing a "job" in Illustrator which involved placing and tracing an image. Said image must have been too low res or too small and so resulting trace was not up to scratch. The client has said that a better quality image be used to result in a better quality vector.
OP, the quality of your trace will be governed by the quality of your source image. Relying on Live Trace alone is not always ideal, and as has been suggested elsewhere a certain amount of "tweaking" will be required.
I doubt whether we'll ever find out anymore from the OP because if it were me I'd have given up on this thread ages ago and found my help and advice elsewhere!

I hope it runs smooth on macbook pro's. I never played mass effect on a computer, I've always played it on the xbox.
It's great on pc personally Its better than Xbox but unless you got a dedicated card I dont think this will run well.

I wouldn't use secure erase (which you can do in disk utility too), but rather I would write zeros one-pass. This will get everything back to a clean slate that might actually be better than the random data written during secure wipes.

I'd like to purchase a new fully decked out Mac Pro with the maximum 64GB of RAM, but I obviously don't want to have to pay Apple $3,550 for the extra RAM.
Does anyone have any experience with, or words of advice about, the RAM sold by OWC (sold here (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/1333D3X8M64K/))
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I started a thread about a question similar to this and it can be viewed here: (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1139455)
Overall, very positive responses about OWC

I might be able to get my hands on a few copies of the NEW Super Mario Bros for DS for a little less than retail. Would anyone be interested in a copy at $30 shipped?

I think with something like this, it's not so much the content of the post as it is the scrolling required. Nobody likes to scroll. When you have to scroll that much more (times 75) because some guy just wants to say "I agree," it's kind of distracting. It definitly detracts from the experience.
Brief affirmative responses are ok every now and then, but if it's all you're doing then you're not adding to the community.
I agree ;)

If you're going to need that much memory, definitely go OWC. Apple's RAM upgrades are a huge ripoff.
Just curious, what do you need all that memory for?

Right, just for the AT&T stores.
Go hit up an Apple store.
Also, this needs to be moved.

I wonder which are worst:
A) Video games based on movies, or
B) Movies based on video games.
Tough choice.
How about a video game based on a movie based on a video game? :)

Are you able to listen to the iPod while you work? Is all well on the utilities front now at your hospital?
Wow, I would love to be able to listen to my iPod Mini at work. :)

There is about 20 people. A lot of them look like they're in groups, though, so its hard to tell if 20 people = 20+ iPads already called for.

Though it's probably powerful enough for a file server, I wouldn't advise using a laptop as a file server. Because parts are not easily replaceable.
This is the best and most glaring point in the whole thread. Even though it could work fine as a file server a laptop case is not at all designed to have the hardware running 24/7. All portable hardware in general is not as durable or log lasting as desktop hardware.
A $40-50 old G3/G4 tower off craigslist would be a much better file server all round.
